About This Department
Welcome to the department of Accounting at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Kishoreganj!
The department of Accounting has started its journey offering Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) program from the academic session 2021-2022. Since then, it has been providing all departmental students with a compact, relevant, practical and intellectual competency in accounting and related fields of financial expertise. This program is equipped with a range of innovative, participatory modules in which students will examine how the financial information influences decision makers in the context of today's challenging financial environment.
That's not all, though. The accounting department promotes students' involvement in the competitive business world as well as the development of their critical thinking skills, ability to come up with original business concepts, and acquisition of non-accounting talents that will help them succeed in the competitive corporate world. Additionally, it continually encourages students to gain knowledge of how to recognize and overcome difficulties in the competitive business world, particularly in the accounting arena.
The department aims at developing individual leadership in contemporary accounting practices by pioneering the research-based accounting education through the application of information technology in businesses and other organizations for the benefit of the people of Bangladesh and the global community.
